Choosing Crochet Braids & Crochet Hair
Crochet styles are installed through a cornrowed base using a crochet or latch hook. Pre-looped twists and locs can make installation quicker, while loose Marley-style hair offers more freedom to create customised twists, texture and volume.
Choose by Style
- Twists: Pre-formed twist crochet hair creates a consistent look with less twisting required during installation.
- Loc styles: Crochet locs offer the appearance of locs without permanently locking your natural hair.
- Marley-inspired styles: Textured Marley hair can be used for crochet styles, twists and other natural-looking protective hairstyles.
- Short or long: Consider the finished length, weight and fullness you want before choosing.
How Much Hair Will You Need?
The number of packs depends on the product, head size, installation pattern and desired fullness. Check the individual product page and ask your stylist before ordering when possible.
Looking After Crochet Hair
Protect the style at night with a satin bonnet or scarf. Separate and gently finger-detangle sections when needed, trim persistent frizz carefully and keep the scalp comfortable without overloading the hair with product.
AFRIHAIR Tip
Check whether the product is pre-looped or loose before purchasing. That difference affects the installation method, styling flexibility and time required.
