Choosing a Dark & Lovely No-Lye Relaxer

Dark & Lovely Triple Nourished Relaxer Kits are available in Regular and Super strengths. Strength describes processing power—not the straightness you should try to achieve by leaving the product on longer.

Regular or Super?

  • Regular: Dark & Lovely Regular is generally the suitable starting option for normal, medium-textured or previously relaxed new growth when the enclosed instructions indicate compatibility.
  • Super: Dark & Lovely Super is intended for coarse or resistant hair. Do not choose Super simply to make the process faster.

Important Relaxer Safety

Read the complete enclosed leaflet before beginning and follow it over any general website guidance. Perform the recommended strand test, wear gloves and observe the stated processing time. Do not apply relaxer to an irritated, scratched or damaged scalp, and do not overlap onto previously relaxed lengths. Check the kit instructions carefully if hair is coloured, bleached or has received another chemical treatment.

If you are uncertain about the correct strength, previous chemical compatibility or safe application, have the service completed by an experienced professional.

AFRIHAIR Tip

Plan your after-care before relaxing. Use the supplied neutralising step exactly as directed, then keep the hair conditioned and handle it gently. Chemical straightening permanently changes the treated hair, so timing and careful application matter more than chasing perfectly straight results.
