How to Use Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil
Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil is a rich, traditionally processed oil for moisturising hair and skin, sealing moisture, adding shine and supporting scalp and edge-care routines. Its thick consistency means a little goes a long way.
Ways to Use It
- For the scalp: apply a small amount in sections and massage gently. Avoid saturating the scalp, particularly when wearing braids or another protective style.
- For dry hair and ends: apply water or a water-based moisturiser first, then smooth a small amount of oil over the hair to help seal that moisture in.
- For edges: use sparingly on dry, fragile areas and pair it with low-tension styling. Oil cannot protect edges from repeated pulling.
- As a hot-oil treatment: distribute through the scalp and hair, then follow the bottle directions for covering, warming and shampooing.
Will Castor Oil Grow Hair?
Castor oil can condition the scalp and help hair feel softer and more manageable, but it should not be presented as a guaranteed cure for hair loss or rapid growth. Healthy-looking length comes from consistent care, reduced breakage and addressing any underlying scalp or health concerns.
AFRIHAIR Tip
If the Original formula feels too heavy, mix a little with a lighter oil or reserve it for dry areas and pre-shampoo treatments. Cleanse regularly to prevent build-up around the scalp and roots.
